Referral
Invite friends with your personal referral code and earn a reward once they've actually stuck around - not the moment they type your code in.
How It Works
You get a random 6-character referral code the first time you open the referral menu, and you can customize it later (letters, numbers, and underscores only, 3-16 characters, with a cooldown between changes).
A new player can redeem a code with /referral redeem <code> within their first 24 hours on the server. Redeeming gives the new player an instant welcome bonus right away. The referrer's reward, though, isn't paid out immediately - it's held until the new player has actually played for about an hour. This delay exists so people can't just farm rewards with throwaway accounts that never really play.
Referral rewards scale with your referral tier, which you can upgrade for a cost - each tier pays out more per completed referral. On top of that, hitting certain referral milestones (like your 10th completed referral) pays out an automatic bonus on top of your normal rewards.
The leaderboard (/referral top) only counts completed, paid-out referrals - a friend who redeemed your code but hasn't hit the playtime requirement yet doesn't count toward your rank yet.
