Pyrofishing

A full fishing progression system layered on top of vanilla fishing - custom fish, levels, currency, upgrades, and events, with plenty of ways to turn a good catch into real money.

Cast a rod into any body of water like normal, but you'll reel in custom fish alongside vanilla ones. Every custom fish has a rarity tier - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Mythical - and higher tiers are worth a lot more. Open /fish bag to see what you've caught, and /fish shop to sell it off. /fish codex lists every fish in the game and where to find it.

Leveling up

Catching fish earns you Fishing Level XP, and rarer catches give a lot more XP than common ones. Check your level and stats with /fish stats. Leveling up gives you a Skill Point to spend (see Skills below), and reaching Level 20 lets you build the Fishing Totem.

Entropy

Entropy is this system's own currency, separate from your regular money. You earn it by catching fish (rarer fish pay out far more) or by gutting fish you don't want to sell whole. You'll spend Entropy on augments, delivery upgrades, and totem upgrades. Check your balance with /fish entropy.

Gutting

If you'd rather turn fish into Entropy directly instead of selling them, open /fish gut and drop fish in to gut them. It pays less Entropy than catching does, but it's a quick way to cash in fish sitting in your bag. Gutting can't be undone once you do it.

Fish Scales

/fish scales is a risk/reward mechanic - drop fish in, pick a risk level (Low, Medium, High, or Extreme), and it randomly adjusts that fish's sale value up or down by a percentage before you sell it. Higher risk levels swing harder in both directions. Scaled fish won't count for the shop's daily featured-fish bonus, so don't scale a fish you're hoping to cash in on that bonus.

Deliveries

Catch 180 custom fish total and you'll unlock a delivery - a request for specific fish that pays out Entropy and other rewards once you turn it in. Gather what it's asking for, click it in the delivery menu to start the timer, and come back once it finishes to collect. Handing in a delivery consumes the fish - you don't get them back.

Augments

Augments are custom enchantments made in a cauldron and applied only to fishing rods. Craft one by dropping the right ingredients into a cauldron and hitting it with a rod, then apply it to your rod through /fish augment. You can stack as many different augments on one rod as you want, and crafting duplicates of the same augment and reapplying them levels it up further. Removing an augment costs Entropy but gives it back to your inventory. /fish augments shows you what's available.

Skills

Every level-up earns a Skill Point. Open /fish skills to spend them - some skills can be upgraded repeatedly for smaller, stacking bonuses, while others are a one-time unlock for a stronger passive effect that scales with your fishing level.

Fishing Totem

Once you hit Level 20, you can build the Fishing Totem - a small structure made from parts dropped by crabs, dolphins, and squids, plus a handful of Platinum fish. Build it following the guide in /fish menu, then hit it with a fishing rod to activate it. Once it's running, you can spend Entropy to extend its range, cut down its cooldown, or make its buffs last longer, and unlock passive slots that boost your XP, drop rates, and more the longer you fish near it.

Tournaments

Fishing tournaments run periodically and reward whoever performs best while one is active. Run /ft info to see the tournament types, and /ft time to check when the next one starts.
